The Neighbouhood Associacion announces it´s AGM for 11th February to decide the following:
ORDER OF THE DAY
1.- Reading and approval of minutes of the previous meeting.
2.- If approved, decide and iniciate various acciones to be taken against the Town Hall for not completing their obligations of maintenance and public services for the urbanisation and for accions they permit our “neighbour” Inaer in a residencial zone.
3.- Presentation of the accounts and budget for the year and fix an anual membership fee to cover same.
4.-Presentation of candidates for the comittee.
5.-Elecciones.
8.-Reading of modifications to the Associon´s Statutes and approval of same.
9.- Requests and questions.
WHAT IS HAPPENING HAPPENS WITH OUR TOWN HALL?
The new municipal government is governing without informing us clearly of their intencions regarding our urbanisation, we don´t wish to suggest they are hiding anything from us…but this is how it appears. Following the last AGM it was agreed to give Mayor Mr Sebastián Cañadas more time to determine solucions regarding the many problems of our urbanisation, problems which were mentioned by various neighbours at that meeting, but time is passing. There have been periodic meetings with him and members of the comittee, as there were with the previous local government, but when any neighbour passes along the roads of our urbanisation and sees the abandoned green zones, problems with street lighting and fencing they are worried. Precaution is needed to avoid accidents, running into brushwood on the roads and we suffer headaches from the noise of our “neighbour” Inaer. We have completed the requests of the Town Hall, paying exagerated taxes and other costs...but without result. We must state that the President of our Associacion has always been well received by the Mayor who says that problems raised will be resolved, but unfortunately we have not seen tangible and concrete results to questions raised at Council Meetings. Because of this, we feel the Association should take measures, let´s say “light measures”, against the Town Hall and our “neighbour” Inaer.
We wish to see completed the electoral programe of the Partido Popular (Conservative Party) of Mutxamel to integrate urbanisations within the town.
MEMBERSHIP FEES?
We advise neighbours that in reality, any Neighbourhood Association needs a good number of members who believe in it and contribute in it´s basic economic maintenance. Once the anual budget has been approved, the meeting will decide on a suitable fee which should be around 12 euros a year.
TWO YEARS HAVE PASSED!
It has been two years since the last elections and according to the statutes of the Association we must disolve the current comittee and have new elecions for the positions of President, Vice president, Secretary and Treasurer.
Any, adult property owner who wishes, has the right to present themselves as a candidate, sending their details by the following methods:
1. By phoning: 685332862.
2. Emailing: asociacion.vecinos.riopark@gmail.com.
3. By certified letter to: C/La Anhidrita No. 40, Rio Park.
- The closing date is 31st January 2012
- Following this date, the names of candidates will be published.
- Any neighbour who is unable to attend the AGM has the right to authourise another neighbour, in writing, stating the reason they cannot attend, the name and DNI of the neighbour authourised, their own name, DNI, address including phase and parcel number, and the names and surnames of the candidates they wish to vote for. They can vote for a maximum of 4 or their vote will be considered nul and void.
- The neighbours who attend the AGM will be given papers with the names of all candidates and can vote for a maximum of 4.
- Voting is one vote per family living in the same property.
